Sarah offers riding lessons to people of all ages, experiences, and disciplines, starting with kids 10 years of age.
Primarily teaching out of Heatherdown Hills Arena, Sarah offers lessons to people with their own horses, whether they board onsite or haul into the facility.
For those without a horse, there are often lease and partial lease opportunities and access to some lesson horses depending on the individual's situation.
Sarah not only offers lessons to the rider, but in some circumstances will do some training on your horse as well. Training is limited to well-broke horses and for those already in a lesson program.
Lessons are generally for one hour, but may vary in duration depending on the progress of the horse and rider.
1 lesson per week/4 lessons per month: $185
2 lessons per week to a max of 10 per month: $360
3 lessons per week: $420/month
4+ lessons per week: $550/month
Add-on lessons/pay as you go: $50 each
Coaching at shows is also available. Please contact Sarah for costs. Prices do not include GST.
Your schedule is flexible and do not need lessons on a consistent date and time.
You are prepared to work hard and challenge yourself.
You have a great sense of humour.
Lessons are offered at various times during the week and days may vary from week to week.
Lessons are usually at Heatherdown Hills Arena, but Sarah does coach out of other facilities as well. Haul-ins are permitted at Heatherdown with haul-in fee paid directly to the facility. **Please note that the arena is not exclusive for lessons, meaning that there may be other riders in the arena at the same time as your lesson.**
During the summer months, lessons may take place at different locations including Mind's Eye Ranch and Event Site, particularly for outdoor jumping and eventing practice.
Be prepared to be flexible when it comes to lesson start times as situations can occur that may delay the start of your lesson.
Once you become a client, you will be added to our What'sApp group.
Sarah will post the days that lessons will take place for the week.
You can then choose the day(s) and time you wish to ride.
Sarah will post the lesson times usually the day before.
